29 people rescued after Sanur-bound boat capsizes in Gianyar waters

Twenty three vacationers and 6 crew members have been rescued yesterday after a Sanur-bound boat from Nusa Penida capsized in open waters attributable to a leak.

Kebo Iwa Specific reportedly flipped the wrong way up after a leak was noticed at 5:20pm in Gianyar waters. Present excessive climate situations in and across the island, which have included sturdy winds and large waves, was believed to have prompted the boat to collide with an unknown object within the waters, inflicting the leak.

Clips of passengers and crew being rescued from the boat because it sank have been making the rounds on social media.

At the least two Australians have been reported to be among the many passengers of the Kebo Iwa Specific.

Fortunately, there have been no casualties within the incident. Nonetheless, lots of their belongings – together with private paperwork – couldn’t be retrieved.
