Union warns of ‘summer of discontent’ on trains as pay fails to rise with inflation

Rail staff may set off “a summer season of discontent” throughout Britain except pay rises match inflation, a union boss has warned.

Manuel Cortes, basic secretary of the white-collar TSSA union, stated: “We is not going to sit idly by because the Tories’ price of dwelling disaster hits our members of their pockets.

“A lot of our members haven’t seen a pay enhance for 2 years, and with costs rocketing sufficient is sufficient.
